Death & Taxes: Spellweaver

Explore local ruins and piece together the story of what once happened in this nature-reclaimed land.  As you explore, be prepared to use your spells to defend yourself against the creatures that have moved into the area.  

Gameplay:  

Explore the area using WASD to move around.  You'll find points of interest that will expand your knowledge of the area.  LEFT CLICK to move the dialogs along.  

Upon your travels, you'll come across creatures of malcontent.  Don't hesitate to use your Fireball and Lightning spells to defend yourself.  Hit TAB to target your enemy and LEFT CLICK on your spell buttons to use them.  

Roadmap: 

Death & Taxes: Spellweaver is another tech demo built for the purpose of gaining knowledge needed to build the Death & Taxes RPG.  This project was originally planned as a two week jam, but we joined One Last Game Jam 2023 and so released what we could finish in the first week.  

The game is currently pretty rough, but playable.  In the next update we'll be adding key systems, this release is just the base for those systems.  Stay Tuned!
